Seminary We are loyal sons of the great Lone Star State and are proud ofour heritage. We conscientiously believe that Texas is the greateststate in the Union. With an area of 265,785 square miles, and a dis-tance of more than 800 miles from its eastern to its western border,and of nearly 800 miles from its northern boundary to the Gulf, itcould easily hold in its lap a half dozen ordinary states.
