Yet another visit to beautiful Lough Gill to end this week and a view to die for! Mr. French appears to have brought a few of his drinking partners to share the view with him on this occasion though the top hat looks rather out of place out in the wild!

I wonder if they are looking at the schedule of photos taken and photos still to be taken?

I wonder if the middle one is W. B. Yeats who is looking for a page in his notebook to write down a poem which has just popped into his head - 'The Fiddler of Dooney' (first published 1892) - youtu.be/J2yR_7-QOp4

I know it's not entirely comparable, but this image put me in mind of a similar "mountains in background, lake in middleground, figures in foreground" we had before. Thankfully these lads look a lot more relaxed than the lads in the previous one from Killarney: www.flickr.com/photos/nlireland/26040083492/

It looks on close-up that the top hat guy has waders and a wooden leg

SNAP! An almost matching stereo pair; does that mean we are before 1883 ? - catalogue.nli.ie/Record/vtls000564379 - with much clearer detail.
