The postcard features a hedged lined path amongst the gardens at Reservoir Park located in Bartonville near Crown Point in East Hamilton.

The postcard is addressed to Miss [Florence] Buck, Mount Salem, PO, Ont. The transcription reads: "Vinemount Nove the 5th. Dear Girls received Doras card on Sunday Nellie had it home with her glad you got home all right hope everything worked out as desired write again and tell me all the news where everybody is and what doing. Verna is with me now and is [whistling] Nellie has been here for two days washing I am wondering if she is able to move this morning. From Aunt Martha. Tell your mother I am going to write to her soon love to all. We were lonesome after you went." The verso has a 1 cent green Canadian stamp featuring King George V cancelled by straight line. The return stamp is dated 1913, Vinemount, Ont.
