    The car is a 1934 Opel. I think you could date this photo slightly earlier, not because of the car, but because of the trousers of the young man crossing the street. He is wearing a so called plusfour, fashionable in the 1920s and early 1930s. I think they were out of fashion by 1940.

    [https://www.flickr.com/photos/mazdamiata] Actually, Martin, Swedes wore plus fours (golfbyxor) even in the 1940s, if I relate to older relatives... I still think though, that you are right about the photo being taken in the 1930s. /Anna B.
