    Think it maybe Coogee beach with the Palace in the background.

    Most definitely Coogee! The domed Palace Aquarium & Baths was opened in December 1887. In 1954 a storm caused the collapse of the dome and it was rebuilt only in 1987 and converted to restaurants & bars.

This is Coogee Beach, definitely not Bondi (as erroneously printed on the card). The (now) "Coogee Pavilion" is seen at the far end of the beach between the bottom of Beach St to the right and Arden to the left.
