Description: This photograph depicts the Cornwallis Monument, then located on what was known as Bombay Green, with the Custom House, Town Hall and Bombay Castle in the background, on the left side of the photograph. Till 1874, the Secretariat of the Bombay Presidency Government occupied certain rooms in the Bombay Castle, after which it was relocated to the newly built Old Secretariat Building.
