Kees Kort Collection
The first built Friedrichshafen FF.35 - Marine number '300' first flown in 1916 accepted by the German navy on 24 May 1916. A second one - Marine number '310' - was later built and also bought by the German navy. This twin-engine floatplane could carry one torpedo of 726 kg, hence the 'strutty' construction of the floats to the lower wing. There were of course no connection struts between the floats otherwise the torpedo could not be carried (and launched).
