Today we are back with an interesting photo from the Irish Tourism Association collection. The catalogue gives us the intriguing title “Church of the Beautiful Four”. I can’t wait to find out what the beautiful four are and where this photo was taken. Over to you.

[https://www.flickr.com/photos/nlireland] I was just thinking t'other day, the NLI and/or one of the clever Flickroonies should google map all these 'Irish Tourism Association' photos of lesser known and half-forgotten attractions and publish online a guided tour of them. "A 1942 Detour of Ireland", avoiding all the usual tourist traps and crowds. Similar to Geocaching.com . Virtual sticky buns for proof of visit etc.

Many thanks for the photo. The nearby well was said to have a cure for blindness. Synge is said to have been inspired to write his play ‘The Well of the Saints’ after visiting here. He set the play in the east of the country, probably Wicklow.
