Postcard with black and white photograph showing funeral procession of Patrick Sheahan. A vast crowd is seen following horses and carriage. Verso of postcard is headed with postal instructions and a Dublin stamp mark is partially visible on top right-hand corner. Postcard addressed to Mr. Lambert Esq. in Middlesex Street, Wakefield, England. Dated 11th June 1905.

    This was covered by Frank McNally in the Irish Times a number of years ago. www.irishtimes.com/culture/heritage/an-irishman-s-diary-o... The monument was moved across the street to the west side of the Luas tracks.

    Would Mr Lambert have been living on Middlesex Street in Wakefield? Because Middlesex is a county in the south of England, and Wakefield is a city in West Yorkshire in the north of England, but it does have a Middlesex Street.
