Nicholas Orlando was a dance band leader in NYC who led the orchestras at the Plaza and Roosevelt Hotels. Since his band was named "Nicholas Orlando's Orchestra" maybe we should just call the woman in the photo "Nicholas Orlando's Wife". Or we can call her Anna Beatrice Nelson Orlando. Anna was the head buyer at Kurzman's Store. They met and romanced while vacationing in Maine at Lake Cobbosseecontee and married in 1924.
