The man is probably en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bernardo_de_Muro "Bernardo De Muro (November 3, 1881 – 27 October 1955) was a Sardinian operatic tenor." "In his later years he taught voice in New York City, Sturgis, Michigan, and Rome." historyofthetenor.com/bernardo-de-muro/ has a compatible photo and the sentences, "An unusual item was his appearance in Peru, where he was extremely popular. And the invitation of the President to take part in a series of concerts to celebrate the centenary of the battle of Ayacucho. It was a fortunate invitation, where he met the singer Elaina Waite there, and they married soon afterwards."

The description for www.youtube.com/watch?v=sp_JEh3zTXI has a biography that confirms that Bernardo De Muro and Helen Wait were married but does not indicate when they were married. www.accademiabernardodemuro.it/en/bernardo-de-m/ states that they were married in 1927. "Invited by the President of Peru, he participated in numerous concerts in that country. During his trip he met the singer Helen Wait whom he married on 2nd November 1927 in Cristobal (Panama). Their marriage resulted in a daughter, Jeanna Elena (Dina)." www.visit-tempio.it/en/music-and-arts/ indicates that the marriage in 1927 was 18 months after the birth of their daughter. The August 14, 1926 issue of Billboard www.google.com/books/edition/The_Billboard/8OyrbuVmVSUC?h... has a listing of recordings and concerts in the 1925-1926 season in New York. It shows that the couple sang together at Aeolian Hall on Oct 11, 1925.

Some nearby photos in the Bain collection at LoC, e.g., www.loc.gov/pictures/item/2014718924/ show more beds and more kids and have a caption indicating that this is at "Post Graduate Hospital." The New York Post-Graduate Medical School and Hospital was at 20th St and 2nd Ave. See digitalcollections.nyam.org/islandora/object/nycm%3A463
