Today's colour is grey and today's adjective is "supercilious"...

Master Hairdresser, no less. I thought he looked more like a pork butcher, or perhaps a boot merchant.

Where is Mrs Agnes O'Grady's right foot ?

    • 11/Feb/2015 09:14:32 I presume she is being ladylike, and has her ankles crossed. So it's hidden somewhere behind her left leg.

The O'Grady's seemed to be loyal customers of Poole's. Here's Ursula (the 7 year old being held here by her mother) in 1932: Picture 1 Picture 2. Also a picture of the "Ladies Lounge" from 1933. There are at least another 2 in the NL (one of "Miss N. O'Grady" and one of the Interior Saloon), but they are not digitised yet. And finally here's Edward O'Grady's from the outside on the right.

These photographs just make me so glad to wear modern clothes...I always feel the stockings and materials look itchy and probably never stay in the right place!

What a nice photo! We see the happiness, personality and dignity of people of the past. I love the cheeky smile of the beautiful boy on the left. He is most similar to his father. Has its lively, humorous eyes.
