Description: First Masonic Hall in Wood Street, completely devastated by the cyclone that hit Mackay and surrounding areas on the night of 20 January. Thirty people lost their lives and more than two hundred more were injured in what became known, in later years, as the Mackay Cyclone. The unroofed building in the background, is the Star Theatre. .
