    Thanks all. I totally concur on this likely being a commission for the Fanning family business in Waterford. Can we confirm a location though? Are there available street directories for Waterford? (Similar to those used for Cork and Dublin in the past...?)

    The often valuable Lennon Wylie page has the 1894 street directory for Waterford, and on O'Connell St. lists: 6, 7. Chapman Bros., provision merchants 8, 9. R. Mahony & Co., do 10. J. Fanning & Co., do

    The 1901 census confirms a butter store on O'Connell Street.
